Decembrists 1826 - 2026
Two hundred years on, the Decembrist
uprising is still continuing
in Ukraine, while in Warsaw the tempest
is being prepared for, no mutiny
or rebellion this time. Pilsudski
after Brest-Litovsk, contemplated
intermarium, not as if jetskis
or airboats would these days terminate
at the Baltic or Black Seas. Transpontine
fronts to syncopate the long slant
of rivers, from deltas to font to font,
in common time where Decembrists planted
it wrong, caught out by that hot potato -
Alexander’s death. Now there is NATO.

Nobody wants to know about the Eastern Front.
Marshal Jozef Pilsudski ( 1867 -1935 ) Poland’s Chief of State ( 1918 - 22) and Prime Minister ( 1926 - 28, 1930) had a particular take on the Decembrist Revolt of 1825-26 after the death of Alexander I, and on the Polish-Lithuanian Rzeczpospolita or Commonwealth of 1569 -1795.
