On 28 March, Bruno Maçães, Portugal's former Minister for European Affairs interviewed Sergey Alexandrovich Karaganov, in an interview that appeared in The New Statesman on 2 April. Karaganov is a political advisor of great intelligence, and standing in Russia, and close to President Putin. I make the following observations on his answers in this interview.
